April Radder enjoys sharing her talents with the community. She is currently an art teacher at Truman Elementary in the Lackawanna City School District and enjoys teaching art to the students there. April also teaches art after school with Lackawanna Middle School students, through the YWCA.
In addition to being a teacher, April is also a published author, illustrator and chalk artist. You may find more details and information about her work in the tabs above. April received her Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Buffalo State College and continued her education at Medaille, earning a Master's degree in Education. She is certified to teach Art K-12, Elementary B-6 and SED B-6. April has participated in 4 of Buffalo's Chalkfest's, 2 Lockport's Sweet Chalkfest, 2 Elmira’s Street Painting Festival's, Lewiston's Chalk Art Festival (People’s Choice Award Recipient), Perry's Street Paitning Festival and Olcott's Chalk Festival, along with several other chalk events including the Albright Knox Art Gallery Virtual Event. She has also had her first children's book, Adam's Way, published on Novemeber 3rd, 2018. April loves teaching art and making art, but most of all loves giving back to the community. She hopes to continue publishing children's book's and perhaps a short story. April continues to make her own art and is inspired everyday by her pets, husband and most of all her students. |
